The Indigenous gathering space at Queen’s University serves as a ceremonial space, and a place for reflection and learning. The space, located at the south end of Tindall Field on Queens campus, offers a teaching and learning space for the campus with a focus on Indigenous teachings that can be done in the most traditional way possible. The outdoor classroom is inspired by Indigenous teaching lodge, featuring a curved glue-laminated timber frame clad in birchbark enclosed by cedar, as well as openings which face the four cardinal directions.
