Project Summary

The Lambton College Indigenous Gathering Space is a round, Wigwam-inspired mass timber structure. The building features 8 petals, seven that pay respect to the seven Grandfather teachings (Bravery (Bear), Honesty (Raven), Humility (Wolf), Love (Eagle), Respect (Buffalo), Truth (Turtle), Wisdom (Beaver)), and the eighth marks the eastward entrance, respecting the rise of the sun. The structure features glue-laminated timber with copper and wood petals.
