Halifax Central Common Aquatic Centre

Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Halifax Common Aquatic Facility features a SilvaSpan nail-laminated timber roof equipped with a 100kW solar photovoltaic system on top to offset energy usage of the facility. It exists in Canada’s oldest urban park, which was established in 1749. The building is net-zero, accessible, and barrier-free.
