Project Summary

The new Allandale Transit Hub in the City of Barrie aims to be a geographically centralized hub for transit users, improving connections and enhancing Barrie’s service efficiency, as well as contributing to a stronger transit system, offering access to Simcoe County, Northern Ontario, and the GTA. The sustainable building is targeting a net-zero energy design, fit with solar photovoltaic panels that both provide shelter and put energy back into the local power grid. The transit hub features SilvaSpan nail-laminated timber panels and glulam members.
