Carpenter’s Union Hall

The Local 1669 Training Centre in Thunder Bay is a multi-purpose facility that houses administration, classrooms, and shop space for the Carpenters. Glue-laminated timber elements were used in both the shop and office areas, and solid sawn materials were used for exterior elements. The result is a structure that highlights the materials and skills of the trade. Timmerman supplied and installed the mass timber elements, which included 50 m³ of Glulam and 20 m³ of solid sawn timbers.
