Project Summary
Located in the heart of Liberty Village, Toronto, 80 Atlantic is an impressive project in both its scale and scope. As the first multi-story mass timber project approved in Toronto for over a hundred years, 80 Atlantic is both a revolutionary new build and the standard bearer for an exciting mass timber renaissance in the Ontario market. The 8000 m2 commercial building was thoughtfully designed to integrate into the diverse cultural neighborhood and is now home to Universal Music. The project used 630 m3 of Glulam beams and columns & 6200 m2 of nail-laminated-timber panels (NLTs). The south façade is completed enclosed with a high efficiency curtain wall, which provides glimpses of the mass timber structure during the day and showcases the warm glow of the exposed wood at night.
